About us

Hector was purchased in Ross-on-Wye from Leanne. She was such an honest seller. No complaints. He was everything as described. The 90 minute journey was worth it! He came to me very fragile, boney, underdeveloped. This was not Leanne's doing this was just a typical youngster who was a late baby and was out feral almost untouched and completely unbacked.

Fast forward we did a lot of ground work, we slowly started to just lead him around and then came lunging to assess what we had to work with. He seemed bold, but quiet. So with that on came long lining. This was the best part of his backing we got into a routine asked for stops, starts, let him inspect anything spooky it was amazing. I and one other (mystery person, who knew nothing) took it upon ourselves to give it a go and then add tack. After a few weeks of longing, lunging and tack on, tack off eventually came the sitting! Roll on hours of hacking straight lines for the next year at a walk we had a backed Hector.

With that year later, we also strived to get Hector out as much as possible with small shows, fun rides and just arena hires. The more he did and continues to do the better. He has no recorded breeding. He stands at 16.2hh We have successfully schooled him in doing a brilliant intro test, western and some light show jumping with brilliant results at the hunter trials we have been to.

More will continue for him.
